Brian May’s Thesis

I was doing research on a SF story I am writing. I was looking for information on the speed the solar system revolves around the Milky Way. I came across this video on Brian May’s PhD thesis on the dust particles between the planets in our solar system. A thesis he started in the 1970’s and finished in 2006.

You may be wondering why I would get excited about someone taking over thirty years to finish his PhD thesis. But if you were thinking . . . “Hmm where have I heard that name before?” you will know why I found this video so interesting.

In a word ‘Queen’.

Yes, it is the same Brian May – Queen’s lead guitarist.
